Bungie is in “buff everything” mode as we head into Destiny 2’s second episode, Revenant, where we will become a sort of vampire hunter tracking down Scorn remnants and taking on their leader, Fikrul, for roughly the eleventh time.
But the list of buffs Bungie is rolling out is absolutely sweeping, and I figured I would break down the highlights in case you do not want to read a 15,000 word TWAB to figure them out. So, here we are:
ARMOR:
Lucky Pants (Hunter) – Now has increased slide distance and sprint speed when you have a Hand Cannon, Airborne Effectiveness is effective all the time for Hand Cannons, you do not need to element match the Hand Cannon to your super now, Out of Luck cooldown only triggers if you reach seven stacks of PvE damage, Max damage down from 600% to 450% (nerf).
Young Ahamkara’s Spine (Hunter) – Back to providing grenade energy on hit, 33% in PvE and 8% in PvP.
Blight Ranger (Hunter) – Can cancel Arc Super which damages and blinds enemies, and gives you a tier 4 arc weapon boost, this damage scales depending on how many projectiles you’ve deflected, doesn’t create orbs of power now but deflecting projectiles gives super energy, extending the super.
Raiju’s Hardness (Hunter) – Fully reworked where now Gathering Storm calls down lightning on all nearby targets, jolting them while amplifying allies. Defeating Arc debuffed targets grants Gathering Storm energy.
Icefall Mantle (Titan) – Gain a stack of Frost Armor from rapid Stasis final blows, each stack heals you. Class ability now grants you max Frost Armor, you can now sprint and jump and use Thruster with it. Class ability starts recharging right when you use it, burst of Stasis energy from activation now freezes combatants and slows players. No longer gives Stasis weapon damage, you need a Stasis super to get Exotic effects.
Cadmus Ridge Lancecap (Titan) – No longer need a Stasis weapon to trigger. Any precision hit behind a barricade will create a Diamond Lance. Directly hitting a powerful combatant with a Diamond Lance spawns Stasis Crystals (not just bosses and vehicles)
Ursa Furiosa/Spirit of the Bear (Titan) – Max Super energy gain up to 20% from 15% in PvE.
Cuirass of the Falling Star (Titan) – Melee final blows when amplified grant Super energy. Damage bonus reduced from 2x to 1.55x, but base damage is buffed so it’s the same. Damage resistance of 50% in PvE and 10% in PvP after use.
Peacekeepers (Titan) – Dealing damage with an SMG grants SMG damage for a short time, 20 stacks up to 100% bonus, 1 second duration but refreshes on hit.
Mask of the Quiet One (Titan) – Rapid final blows and blows at critical health grant Devour if you have a Void Super.
Stocism (Titan) – Thruster now works with Spirit of the Horn, Alpha Lupi and Hoarfrost.
Ballidorse Wrathweavers (Warlock) – Increased Shatter damage by 100% no matter who breaks them. More Frost Armor and super energy depending how many allies get the Frostpulse buff.
Skull of Dire Ahamkara (Warlock) – Devour now grants 1% to 4.5% super energy depending on the type of enemy killed.
Sanguine Alchemy (Warlock) – Marks target while in rift, 10% damage to that target. 4x Surge to weapons that match Super damage.
Verity’s Brow/Spirit of Verity (Warlock) – First stack of Death Throes grants 40% grenade damage in PvE up from 20%. Each stack now gives 15% grenade damage up to 100% at five stacks.
Speaker’s Sight (Warlock) – Six instances of healing allies in Crucible spawn an orb of power.
WEAPONS
Huckleberry – Fully reloads on kills and has Kinetic Tremors as a catalyst.
Tarrabah – When Ravenous Beast is active, 50% solar damage resistance in PvE, 15% in PvP.
Symmetry – Gains a stack of Dynamic Charge on kills, not just precision hits.
Duality – On Black Wings stacks for max effectiveness, reduced from 5 to 3 but extend buff duration from 7 to 10 seconds.
Bad Juju – Increased time of String of Curses from 3.5 base to 5.5 base with 7.5 from the catalyst. Magazine size up from 27 to 36 base. Will trigger Cursed Thrall explosion more often.
Ex Diris – Direct hit damage up 33%, better projectile stats, +5 ammo reserves, spawns moth on two direct hits, moth cooldown from 4 seconds down to 3 seconds.
Fighting Lion – Now spawns a volatile burst on direct hits.
Prospectors – Spawns three powerful cluster bombs on detonation which do larger damage per shot in a much larger area. Max size reduced to 6, bonus ammo changed to +50 reload speed.
Chaperone – Roadborn triggers on Precision hits, precision hits with Roadborn active extend it by three seconds, +20 stability and +25% reload speed when Roadborn active, increased base ammo reserves.
Lumina – Projectiles now work more like Support Auto Rifle healing shots.
