The last elephant in South Africa’s national zoo has been released back into the wild after 40 years of captivity.The elephant, named Charlie, was captured in 1984 from Zimbabwe’s Hwange national park when he was two years old.He was taken to Boswell Wilkie Circus in South Africa and trained to perform tricks. Thursday, August 22, 2024 Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla, announced on Wednesday that the National Health Laboratory Service (NHLS) operations have been fully restored following a cyber attack in June this year. The NHLS was hit by a cyber attack that significantly disrupted the normal delivery of essential health services in the public health sector.
